The campground is conveniently located near the famous Civil War Battlefields of Chancellorsville, Wilderness, and Fredericksburg, several vineyards, and some of the best smallmouth bass fishing in the state.
We offer 45 primitive campsites on 46 acres bordering the beautiful Rappahannock River. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and stone-ringed campfire pit. The cost to camp per night is $9.00 per person or $30.00 per family (parents with children under 18) for wooded sites and $11.00 per person or $35.00 per family for sites near and on the river. Minimum cost is based on two people per site. Children 2 years old and under are free. Special rate of $5.50 per person for scouts in the wooded sites.

The camp store has camping, canoeing, and fishing supplies for sale or rent. Firewood and Ice are also available. Hot showers are centrally located for your convenience. Other amenities include a stocked pond, volleyball, horseshoes, and short hiking trails.

Pets are permitted at $5.50 each per night. All pets require a leash and may not be left unattended.

In an attempt to be a family friendly campground and due to problems experienced in the past, we now have a no alcohol policy.

Sorry, we do not have the facilities for RV's or motor homes and do not allow long-term camping.

The Rappahannock River is in a natural setting, virtually unchanged by civilization. It flows through Civil War Battlefields, abandoned 18th century gold mines, and ruins of an early 1800s canal system. The scenery is a breathtaking sight you'll never forget. Trips depart at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Cost is $30.00 per person. Check-in is required 45 minutes prior to departure.
